Canadian fans will have to wait to see Paramore live. The group just announced a 29-date summer tour from July 23 until September 19. They are headlining the Honda Civic Tour that will stop in 29 American cities.
If Paramore is not coming to Canada, they are at least bringing a bit of Canada to them. Calgary indie twins Tegan & Sara will join Paramore for most dates on this tour.
A message on Tegan & Sara’s website says, "We’re proud and beyond excited to share the summer, the stage and 2 months of our lives with [Paramore]."
Another message says, "We first heard about Paramore a few years ago and have been huge fans ever since. Their new record Brand New Eyes is one of our favourite releases of the year, and we’re already practicing our dance moves in preparation for the tour."
Paramore was founded in Tennessee in 2004. They launched a new album last September. Brand New Eyes is their third album. During the round of shows they gave in support of that new release, Paramore did play in Toronto on October 15, 2009. It is their only Canadian visit so far.
