Paramore replaces the Farro brothers

Lead singer Hayley Williams reveals new players on South American tour.

After December’s split, rock band Paramore has secured replacement musicians and will go ahead with their South American tour, announced Hayley Williams, the band’s lead singer, via Twitter.

Last month, the group suffered a falling out when brothers Josh and Zac Farro abruptly left the band. Williams insisted at the time that the group would go ahead with their South American tour, planned for February.

Replacing the Farro brothers are veteran drummer Josh Freese, and lead guitarist Justin York, brother of Paramore’s rhythm guitarist Taylor. Williams explained that the two musicians will not be joining the band permanently, "just helping us for the South American tour."

Paramore was founded in 2004 in Tennessee, by Williams and the Farro brothers, along with Jeremy Davis on bass guitar. Taylor York joined as the band in 2007.

Controversy surrounded the departure of the brothers, when Josh posted a revealing message to his blog, accusing Williams’s solo career of hurting the band. Whatever the truth may be, it seems the remaining band members are intent on moving forward.
