Although the two companies first announced that they would release their films in the two formats, they have changed their minds, and think it would be more advantageous to produce HD.

This decision was made after a study showed the advantage of choosing HD technology, notably the cost and ease with which they can put it in films.

The first DVD released in HD was Blades of Glory, starring Will Ferrell and John Heder.
