Paramount Risks Losing Rights to Torso

Paramount is on the verge of losing the film rights to Torso.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures has reportedly let the film rights to Torso expire.

Director David Fincher, who brought the story of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to the big screen, was ready to adapt Torso to film.

The police thriller tells the true story of Department of Treasury agent Eliot Ness, following his days with Al Capone.

Paramount held the rights since 2006. This project piqued the interest of Matt Damon and Casey Affleck, but the studio is letting the story fall by the wayside.

Last month, Paramount had the option to extend their ownership of the story, but did not renew the agreement.
