Paris Hilton to launch new album

Hotel heiress says new album will come out in the next couple of months.

Media personality and hotel heiress, Paris Hilton, who will turn 30 tomorrow (February 17), has announced the upcoming release of her as-yet-untitled album, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Her first album in 2006, Paris, was released to mixed critical reception, but went on to reach number six on the Billboard 200 for a week, and generated the hit song Stars are Blind.

At a pre-Grammy party over the weekend for Usher, the reality TV star chatted with the Hollywood Reporter. However, she was very secretive about collaborators and producers, explaining she wants it to be “a surprise.” She also declined to name the record company label responsible for launching her latest musical effort.

In the meantime, Hilton is busy at work on her new reality show, The World According to Paris, for the Oxygen TV network, which debuts this spring. The show’s official description: "With Hollywood on one side and real life on the other, this series follows Paris and four important women in her life, through all of their ups and downs, loves gained and lost, marriages, kids, divorce and more, revealing a lively group of dynamic individuals."
