According to People magazine, Hilton’s psychiatrist stated that the actress was "distraught and traumatized", after being condemned to 45 days in prison.
Dr. Charles Sophy gave his professional opinion yesterday at the Superior Court in Los Angeles.
The star of the television series Simple Life is scheduled to appear at a trial on May 21, however, her doctor declared that
"Hilton is not capable of any meaningful participation in a trial."
The star needs to recover from the shock caused by her sentence. Hilton, 26, was stopped by the police while her license was suspended.
