Parisian lingerie meets shapewear

Chantelle shows off ‘Sexy Shaping’ glamorous retro collection.

Last week, longtime Parisian lingerie brand Chantelle debuted its new fall line called ‘Sexy Shaping,’ reports FashionMag.

The burlesque-inspired retro-style collection will offer a dozen new pieces, including one-piece girdle, high-waisted girdle, corsets, and bras in black or beige.

Building on its famous expertise in girdles, the brand has managed to maintain its glamorous niche while integrating the increasingly popular shapewear undergarments – designed to smooth out the average woman’s lumps and bumps to provide her with a sleek, confident silhouette – especially for those clingy special-occasion dresses.

The ‘Sexy Shaping’ garments, which combine shapeliness and seduction, will be available this summer at selected outlets.

The company’s tagline ‘French Allure’ promotes the idea that every woman can cultivate a style of casual elegance. The company believes that a bold, spontaneous, Parisian attitude or ‘French Allure’ is seen more than heard – in a gesture, a look, an attitude, and a certain ‘je ne sais quoi.’

If you’ve ever been to Paris, you know they make a good point. Originally founded in 1876 by Messieurs Gamichon and Kretz, the brand name ‘Chantelle’ was adopted in the 1950s, and the Chantelle Group has grown to include three distinct brands: Chantelle, Passionata (created in the late 80s), and Darjeeling (created in 1995).

Headquartered in Cachan on the outskirts of Paris, garments are manufactured in various Chantelle-owned facilities across Europe, North Africa and Eastern Asia.
