Patrick Dempsey Gets Between Bank Robbers

Patrick Dempsey will be starring in a new comedy written by the ones who penned The Hangover.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Dempsey will star in a new comedy that doesn’t yet have a title. The script will be written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the two screenwriters behind the recent hit film The Hangover.

The last time we saw Dempsey on the big screen was in last year’s film Made of Honor with Michelle Monaghan. Since then, he has been continued in his role in the series Grey’s Anatomy.

In the new flick, Dempsey will be caught in the middle of two bank robberies at the same establishment. He will try to protect the teller, whom he secretly has a crush on.

Dempsey will produce the film with Peter Safran and Mark Damon of the company Foresight Unlimited. Filming will begin in April 2010.

Meanwhile, Dempsey has another project underway, The Art of Racing in the Rain, expected out in 2012. He will also be seen among several stars in the film Valentine’s Day, which opens on February 12.
