According to Fashion Week Daily, Donatella Versace, decided to hire Patrick Dempsey, star of Grey’s Anatomy, is the new face for the Italian designer for the spring ad campaign. Dempsey will be the campaign’s face for two consecutive seasons.
The photos taken by Mario Testino of the star will be presented in February.
Versace stated, "Patrick represents everything that is great about this collection; he has that confidence, completely comfortable in his own skin, that is so attractive. He is the modern man of today and of course looks fantastic in the clothes. I’m a big fan so it was a great experience working with him because he is such a talented actor."
Other faces for Versace in the past have been Jonathan Rhys Meyer and Marlon Brando’s son, Tuki Brando.
