In this movie directed by Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallée, Bettany will play Mr. Melbourne, who teaches the young Queen Victoria everything she needs to know about government and politics. Kretschmann will play King Leopold from Belgium, who is Victoria’s uncle.
This movie is produced by Graham King and Martin Scorcese. The screenplay was written by Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park). It is being filmed presently, and will take about 10 weeks to shoot.
