Giamatti, who stars in the HBO series John Adams, will play in this suspense film, reports Variety.
In the film, Giamatti will play a businessman in fierce competition with his rival, played by Wilkinson. Wilkinson also stars in John Adams, in the role of Benjamin Franklin. Roberts and Owen will play two secret lovers who also get involved in the rivalry.
Billy Bob Thornton was initially asked to star in the film, before the role was given to Giamatti.
Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) wrote the screenplay for Duplicity and is currently directing the project.
