While the Quebec band The Lost Fingers had been considered, Sir Paul McCartney selected the Montreal band The Stills to be the first act.
McCartney will be performing in Quebec City as part of the city’s 400th anniversary celebration. The show, to be held on the Plains of Abraham, is expected to attract 300 000 people on Sunday (July 20).
The former Beatle should arrive in the city Saturday night or Sunday morning, for what will likely be the biggest concert in the history of Quebec.
