Last fall, former Beatle Paul McCartney decided to follow the latest music industry trend by offering a special re-release of his most famous solo album, the Wings classic Band on the Run.
After the success of the deluxe re-issue, McCartney has announced the re-release of two solo albums, 1970’s McCartney and 1980’s McCartney II in special and deluxe editions on June 14, reports Consequence of Sound.
In the decade between these two, eight other albums were released, including several with back-up band Wings; and Band on the Run, which was released in 1973.
The deluxe edition will include a DVD with rare film clips and a 128-page booklet. The music portion will be available in both CD and vinyl, all remastered using the latest technology.
