Paul McCartney Wants A Permanent Home

Former Beatle Paul McCartney would like to set up shop in London’s O2 Arena.

Despite speculation that McCartney is ready to hang up his show clothes, the legendary singer revealed during a recent interview that he’d love to have a permanent gig in London.

"Last time I ever did that was when the Beatles used to do Christmas shows, and it was brilliant because… you would be there for a week or two. It was fantastic, just dossing in your overcoat and everything," the star told Absolute Radio.

Last summer, Michael Jackson was set to perform 50 shows at the O2 Arena, but died just weeks before his first performance on that stage.  So far, only Prince and Britney Spears have had the opportunity to perform several nights in the stadium.

Next summer, the O2 will be hosting Bon Jovi.  Ticket prices are selling for up to $2 000, causing an outcry of protest.

For Paul McCartney, his performance tomorrow night (December 22) in London will be his only show this year on English soil.
