It is sometimes difficult to grow up in your parent’s shadow. Just imagine the added pressure if you are the child of a music legend like Paul McCartney.
James McCartney, 33, is the only son of Sir Paul McCartney and artist Linda McCartney. He is about to release his first studio album. Available Light will be available in stores and online on September 21.
The younger McCartney reportedly spent a lot of time writing, recording and collecting the tracks.
The new album was produced by David Kahne (who has worked with Tony Bennett, The Strokes) and dear old dad himself, Paul McCartney.
The sound is very commercial rock which is very popular on the FM radio dial. It was recorded in studios in the United States as well as at the famous Abbey Road.
The album’s lead single is called Angel. There is also a famous cover on the new album. James McCartney performs his version of Neil Young’s Old Man.
