Paul Newman Survives a Disastrous Car Crash

The 79 year old celebrity was behind the wheel of one of his race cars on a track at Daytona International Speedway when his car flipped and went up in flames.

Newman, is a car pilot that has won the title Rolex 24 in the GTS class in 1995.  He was trying a new prototype before trying this next month.

Newman was examined at the track’s medical clinic, and was discharged after a brief examination.

Paul Newman began his film career in the 1950’s.  He is known for his roles in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting and Road to Perdition, among others.  He won an Oscar for best actor in The Colour of Money.
