Pearl Jam releases 2-disc album for 20th anniversary

Soundtrack will accompany new documentary Pearl Jam Twenty.

American rockers Pearl Jam are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a new documentary – and accompanying two-disc soundtrack, Twenty Official Soundtrack, reports NME.

The soundtrack – which will be released on September 19, one day before the documentary debuts in theaters – will include a total of 30 tracks: the first disc will contain 15 live recordings, while the second holds 15 B-sides, rarities and demo cuts.

Some of the live recordings on the first disc will include: Release, Alive, Garden, Why Go, Black, and Blood. Disc two has both a demo and live version of Nothing As It Seems, along with Say Hello 2 Heaven, Times of Trouble, and Given To Fly.

The documentary, titled Pearl Jam Twenty, will be directed by the band’s long-time friend Cameron Crowe, who wrote and directed the semi-autobiographical 2000 film Almost Famous.

The band has a new written biography due out this fall, also called Pearl Jam Twenty. The book was written by Jonathan Cohen and Mark Wilkerson, with foreword by Crowe.
