Pop singer Katy Perry says her relationship with her husband, actor-comedian Russell Brand, 36, is not perfect, but they are not on the brink of separation, reports Daily Mail.
The 26-year-old star used her Twitter page to dispel rumors that her marriage of nine months was on the rocks.
“Just cause we don’t flaunt our relationship doesn’t mean there’s something wrong w/it," the Firework singer tweeted Sunday. "Privacy is our luxury," she continued, adding the hashtags #tabloidsrtrash and #gossipisgross.
Later, on his own Twitter page, hubby Brand posted support for his wife saying, “You tell em Mrs Brand! In Britain we’re currently dismantling the scum media so I’m not tuned in to their brain-farting.”
The pop singer is responding to several British tabloid rumors that claim the couple had decided on a trial separation, and that Brand had recently been seen in the company of another woman, who looked similar to Perry.
Perry and Brand are media favorites for gossip, and in April, Perry filed a lawsuit against an Australian magazine that insinuated she was unfaithful to her husband.
The couple, who married in India last October, has spent a great deal of time apart – fueling break-up rumors – as Katy Perry continued her California Dreams world tour and Brand is currently filming the musical Rock of Ages.
