Needless to say, the UK has seen its fair share of media sideshows as far as musicians go. But as such escapades as those of Amy Winehouse settle, it seems Peter Doherty, the Babyshambles frontman, is now in the spotlight.
Last Saturday (December 5) in Germany, Doherty and two friends were thrown out of Trinkteufel, a Berlin bar, where the rocker was reportedly drinking shooters and constantly asking where he could buy some cocaine. He was later arrested after throwing a glass at a parked car.
The musician, who just finished up a tour in Germany, spent several hours in a local jail after being arrested for property damage.
In July, he was stopped by police for driving under the influence and for drug possession. A month earlier, while in Switzerland, he was arrested again, this time, for taking drugs in an airplane toilet.
The tabloid star is known for his excessive lifestyle, and also for dating Calvin Klein model, Kate Moss. As for the supermodel, she was caught using cocaine with Doherty, a vice that has plagued her career in the past.
