Pete Doherty and Paul McCartney had a father-son encounter. The singer of Babyshambles, who spent the last month at the rehabilitation centre, Clouds, in England, promised McCartney he would do what he could to be rehabilitated.
A friend of Doherty’s told Britain’s Daily Mirror that the rocker was marked by his meeting with McCartney. He promised him not to ever do drugs or drink again.
Doherty was able to leave the rehab centre in order to do the interview with McCartney for Music Monthly. The former Beatle gave Doherty precious advice like a father. They also talked about all kinds of other subjects including music and women.
The singer of Babyshambles did not sleep the day before the interview. He says he did not know what to say to McCartney. However, the two men got along well, and McCartney was very supportive.
