There is a possibility that Peter Gabriel will join Genesis, even if he was not part of the 2007 reunion.
In an interview with Billboard.com, keyboardist Tony Banks mentioned, "We’ve never said never about it, you know. I know Phil (Collins) would be quite happy with the idea of just playing the drums; it would be quite fun for him. Mike (Rutherford) and I are certainly happy to do it. I know Steve (Hackett) is keen as well."
It seems that it was Peter Gabriel who first spoke of the group’s reunion a few years ago, however he is now retired and focusing on solo projects.
The group still hopes that Gabriel will accept the offer. Hackett added that he thinks the reunion should happen before one of them dies.
