Peter Gabriel Says No to Genesis Tour

Former singer of the group Genesis, Peter Gabriel, revealed that he will not be on the upcoming tour with the group.

Gabriel was the first singer of this English rock group.  He confirmed that he will not join his former members of the group for the future tour, which will be announced in a couple of weeks.

Gabriel, 56, was a member of Genesis until 1975, at which point he started his solo career.

The singer stated,"There were conversations and I decided not to be a part of it.  I’m very happy for them. It’s not that I’ve ruled it out, but I’ve got some new material that I’ll be working on."

Genesis sold 130 million albums over the course of their career, and are on the verge of announcing a world tour.  There is also some talk about them producing some new singles.  The singer that replaced Gabriel was the drummer, Phil Collins, who will be part of this tour.
