It appears that the conflicts with the wardrobe person and hair stylist, as well as Gosling’s own fussiness, made him difficult to work with.
The director of The Lord of the Rings found Gosling too demanding and immediately replaced him. Mark Wahlberg will now play the part.
A source told the New York Post, "Peter couldn’t stand Ryan… He was so demanding. Peter booted him two days before filming started."
Gosling denies being fired by Jackson, and says he was too young to play the part of Jack Salmon. Gosling added that Wahlberg is perfect for the part.
