Philadelphia home to world’s largest indoor flower show

Annual event attracts more than a 250,000 visitors to city.

The largest indoor flower show in the world, the International Philadelphia Flower Show, is the held anuually each March at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and attracts more than a quarter million visitors to the American city.

Thousands of visitors from around the globe share in the delightful display of 10-plus acres of blooms. Lush floral displays, competitive specimen plants and creative garden designs and flower crafts are all available for viewing.

Gardening experts give talks on the floor of the show, and provide guidance at the information booths. Visitors can shop at the Marketplace — featuring more than 130 vendors — for the perfect tool, book, plant or other garden gift.

President of the Horticultural Society of Philadelphia, Drew Becher, is hoping that one day the show will reach the spectacular profile of New York Fashion Week.

All proceeds from the show, including tickets and sponsorship contributions, support the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and its acclaimed urban greening program.
