Photographer Gets Prison Sentence

The 42 year-old man was sentenced in a Los Angeles Superior Court.  He claimed that it was all a misunderstanding, but the court refused to give him probation.

The photographs of Diaz were taken in 1992, when she was 19.  When she went on to become a Hollywood star, Rutter threatened to release the photos unless Diaz paid him a large sum of money.  Further, the photographer claimed that Diaz had signed a release for the topless phots.  Diaz had never signed a release, and Rutter was also found guilty of forgery.
