In an effort to satiate fans who are awaiting the December 25 release of the film, Warner Bros. Pictures has decided to publish an online photo gallery for the film.
Sherlock Holmes is without a doubt one of the most highly-anticipated films this holiday season. Starring Robert Downey Jr. in the title role, the film also features Jude Law as Holmes’ assistant, Dr. Watson. Holmes will face a new challenge in the flick, and will have fight skills that match his legendary intelligence. He will fight the enemy to spoil a secret plan to destroy England.
Madonna’s ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, directed the film.
During a fight scene, Downey Jr. received a blow to the chin by actor Robert Maillet. He was knocked down a few times, but when he stopped seeing stars, he kept on filming and never went to the hospital.
The character of Sherlock Holmes was created in 1887 by Britain’s Arthur Conan Doyle. The investigator has only been featured in a few films and television adaptations in the past.
