According to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, guitarist Dave Gilmour was overheard saying: "We’ve been offered $150 million to do gigs in the States. It’s completely mad – and we won’t do it."
However, even without a tour, their single performance at the Live 8 concert in London has had an incredible affect on CD sales for the group. Since the concert, only 2 days ago, sales on their last disc, Echoes, increased by over 1,000%.
