Plan B auctioned off his songwriting skills for charity last night (26.09.13).

The 29-year-old rapper – real name Ben Drew – raised £4,000 for his Each One Teach One charity by auctioning off a writing masterclass, with the top bidder negotiating so all four of her children could attend the session.

The auction – held at Shoreditch House, London – also saw guests splash out on a Kasabian guitar for £1,800, an opportunity to meet Tom Odell for £1,000, a chance to be an extra in the next Nick Love film for £4,500 and many more lots, with all donations going to Each One Teach One [EOTO] to help continue its work.

Plan B said: ”Every donation genuinely changes the lives of the young people we support. I wanted to offer the public the chance to contribute to our trust but get something decent back themselves, whether it be signed merchandise or an experience they wouldn’t normally do.”

The night also saw live performances from rising star Denai Moore, Plan B himself and a DJ set from Kidnap Kid.

Over the last year, the trust has awarded five grants to The Hairproject Foundation, Box4Life, Chats Palace, Makerversity and EOTO Media, to help give youngster the chance to learn employable skills, such as hairdressing, drama, music and media training.
