Plans for a Wall Street Sequel

Michael Douglas may be returning to his role as Gordon Gekko in the sequel to the film Wall Street.

According to Variety, Douglas may be starring in a second instalment of the film.

20th Century Fox has chosen Allan Loeb (21) to write the screenplay for the new project.  Douglas’ participation has not yet been confirmed, but we know that the story will revolve around his character.

Recently released from prison, Gekko will return to the world of finance to discover that it’s an even more turbulent world than before.

The character Bud Fox (previously played by Charlie Sheen) will not be in the new film.

In the meantime, we can see Michael Douglas in the films The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, both opening next year.
