Polanski’s Victim Wants Case Dropped

Roman Polanski’s victim is once again asking for the filmmaker’s trial to be dropped.

Samantha Geimer, with whom Polanski had illegal sexual relations in 1977 when she was only 13, has asked a judge to drop all court proceedings involving the filmmaker, but this time for her own well-being, reports E! Online.

According to documents filed in court by her attorney, Lawrence Silver, Polanski’s arrest in Switzerland has turned Geimer’s life upside-down, and has even caused her health problems.

A press release indicated, "The pursuit has caused her performance at her job to be interfered with and has caused the understandable displeasure of her employer and the real possibility that Samantha could lose her job."

Geimer, who now lives in Hawaii, said that journalists parked in front of her house harass not only her family, but also her neighbours. She added that she’s been invited to do interviews with Oprah Winfrey and Larry King, and is asking that they leave her in peace, and that the court drop the case.
