Pomellato chained to style

Italian jeweler adds new pieces to popular Tango collection.

Italian jewelers Pomellato have released two new designs for its popular Tango collection, reports Vogue.

The new additions to the collection feature a cuff bracelet and chunky matching ring. Made of rose gold, both pieces are designed with large, flat interwoven rings that resemble a never-ending chain. The bold, sleek designs are reminiscent of 1970s graphics.

The Tango collection also contains a thin ring in rose gold and silver, covered with brown diamonds, and a larger ring with a band of rose gold, silver and brown diamonds, and a smoky quartz setting. Other jewelry in the collection includes several bracelets, rings, and necklaces in rose gold with white or brown diamonds, all playing upon the same theme of interwoven links.

A popular line, Tango has been featured in publications like Harper’s Bazaar in the U.K. and Grazia in France. English actress Tilda Swinton currently stars in a dramatic short film on their website.

Based in Milan, Pomellato was founded by Pino Rabolini in 1967 and has grown to become one of the largest jewelers in Europe. Along with Tango, some of their better known collections include Victoria, Nudo and M’ama non M’ama.

According to Bloomberg, the jeweler had sales of $175 million in 2010, and is considering going public and issuing shares in the company.
