Porter airlines wins top honors

Travel magazine readers vote for best travel services and destinations.

Porter Airlines – headquartered at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport in Toronto – is celebrating its victory as the highest-rated Canadian airline according to the Condé Nast Traveler ‘Readers’ Choice Top 30 Airlines’ category.

More than 28,000 people voted in the annual survey, which selects the world’s top destinations, hotels, airlines and more. In the company of Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Emirates, Porter took second place in the small airlines category as well as fifth place for the ‘Top 30 Airlines.’

“Condé Nast Traveler is widely recognized as a trusted source for travel advice and information, and we’re proud to be chosen by readers as one of the best airlines in the world," said Robert Deluce, CEO of Porter Airlines.

Taking to the skies in 2006, Porter has since dominated short-haul air travel, and developed a loyal following amongst both business and leisure travelers thanks to ‘small touches’ and unique social media campaigns.

Porter offers daily flights to Canadian cities including Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Montreal, Sudbury and Thunder Bay, and also flies to Chicago, Boston, New York and most recently, Myrtle Beach in the U.S.
