The Golden Well (U Zlate Studne) hotel in Prague has been named the best hotel in the world in TripAdvisor‘s 2011 Travelers’ Choice awards.
As well as ranking number one in the top 25 hotels worldwide, the Golden Well was also ranked number four for best service and number one for luxury hotels.
"Everything was impeccable: the cleanliness of the rooms, the location of the hotel, the wonderful views," one user from Brussels, Belgium wrote in his review.
The Anastasis Apartments in Imerovigli, Greece was ranked the number two hotel worldwide, followed by Riad Le Calife in Fes, Morocco. The Al Ponte Antico Hotel in Venice, Italy came in fourth, with La Villa Marbella – Charming Hotel in Marbella, Spain taking fifth place.
The Hotel Prinsenhof Bruges (Bruges, Belgium), The Tuscany (Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands), Los Altos De Eros (Tamarindo, Costa Rica), Cocoa Island Resort (South Male Atoll, Maldives) and the Britania Hotel (Lisbon, Portugal) rounded out the top ten.
Only one Canadian hotel made the list: The Auberge Le Vincent in Quebec City ranked 22 out of 25.
