One month after they announced their separation, Madonna and Guy Ritchie are about to make their divorce official.
A London court judge ruled in favour of a preliminary divorce today (November 21), while the 50-year-old singer claims that her husband has demonstrated "unreasonable behavior" towards her.
Neither Madonna nor the British filmmaker was present during the hearing.
Ritchie told the Daily Mail yesterday (November 20) that he had no intentions of getting rich by divorcing Madonna. However he does intend to fight for joint-custody of his two sons, David and Rocco.
"It was never about money – never about her bloody art collection. I just wanted to settle it and move on. I didn’t raise any objections at any stage until she insisted the children lived permanently in New York," he says.
