Prince Harry wanted for Countryfile

Britain’s Prince Harry is wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father Prince Charles and appear on ‘Countryfile’.

Britain’s Prince Harry is wanted to appear on ‘Countryfile’.

While the BBC rural affairs show managed to attract Harry’s father Prince Charles to guest edit the programme earlier this year, he is not enough for presenter Julia Bradbury, who is keen for the flame-haired royal to also appear on the series.

She said: ”Now we need the younger royals involved, too.

”I would put Prince Harry up to a mountain challenge, a scramble up to a peak – me versus Harry – and see who would get to the top first. That would make for a great show.”

Julia believes Harry – who works as an Apache helicopter pilot – would be a natural at countryside activities and thinks his inclusion on a show would help people to learn more about rural affairs.

She added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ”He strikes me as the kind of young gent who would be up for everything and he is clearly incredibly skilled in lots of different areas.

”So I wouldn’t underestimate him with regards to gardening, mountain-climbing or flying helicopters – I think he can pretty much do it all. I’m dead set on getting him involved, all in the name of rural issues and broadening people’s knowledge of rural affairs.”
