Prince William to host Bon Jovi gig

Britain’s Prince William and Duchess Catherine are to host a Bon Jovi gig to celebrate moving in to their new Kensington Palace apartment.

Britain’s Prince William and Duchess Catherine are to host a Bon Jovi concert.

The royal couple – who have 11-week-old son Prince George – will celebrate moving in to their new Kensington Palace apartment with a star-studded housewarming party next month in aid of homeless charity Centrepoint.

The royal residence will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the ”once-in-a-lifetime” bash, which will take place in the State Apartments on November 26 and will see guests splash out £5,000 a ticket for a champagne reception in the King’s Gallery ballroom and a grand gourmet dinner hosted by the couple, before the evening moves outside for the Bon Jovi concert, which will take place in a marquee in the gardens.

A source told HELLO! magazine: ”This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime event that cannot be missed. Kensington Palace will be decorated as never before, in the style of Doctor Zhivago’s winter ice palace, covered in falling snow.”

William is known to be a fan of the US rockers and sang their hit ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ during a karaoke session at the wedding of his cousin Zara Phillips to Mike Tindall two years ago.

A source said at the time: ”William really let his hair down – he was the life and soul of the party, even compared to Mike’s rugby mates. It’s pretty daunting to get up in front of all those people but he was really in the mood, posing with the microphone and dancing as he sang.

”He had the personality to carry it off. Kate stood a few yards away grinning, cheering, and clapping along.”
