Prince William wants normal life for baby

Britain’s Prince William wants his child to have a ”normal life” as possible so is considering staying in the RAF rather than take up full-time royal duties.

Britain’s Prince William wants his child to have as ”normal life” as possible.

The future king’s wife, Duchess Catherine, is currently expecting the couple’s first baby together, and William – who currently works as an RAF search-and-rescue pilot – is considering delaying full-time royal duties so his son or daughter can have a sense of normality.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: ”William wants to give their child a somewhat normal life, and for that to happen, he has to remain in the armed forces.”

William has until January 2013 to make a decision on whether to remain in his current job, which is based out of Wales.

If he extends his time at his current post past August, when he and Catherine move to London, his work will require them to be separated for days at a time, so sources say he is hoping for an RAF post closer to the couple’s Kensington Palace home.

One said: ”He is leaning toward a Windsor-based post with the Household Cavalry as a troop commander…working for the Head of State.”

Catherine – who is also known as her maiden name of Kate Middleton – is around 12 weeks pregnant so is due next June or July.
