The British singer was seen several times at the Cannes Film Festival completely intoxicated, and the people around her now believe that her drinking is out of control.
There is also a rumour that Allen was hospitalized, because she was too drunk at the premiere of the film How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, starring Kirsten Dunst.
An employee of the Hotel du Cap, where Allen stayed during her trip, said, "Her father Keith had to get the hotel porters to help him carry her back to her room. They even asked if she needed an ambulance because she was in such a state."
Several of Allen’s friends feel that she is using alcohol to deal with her pain following her recent miscarriage and the end of her relationship with musician Ed Simons.
A spokesperson for the singer denies any alcohol problems for Allen, saying, "She is back in London and feeling great. She is about to go back into the studio and work on her new album."
