In Public Enemies, Johnny Depp plays the charismatic bank robber, John Dillenger. The trailer for the film has made its way onto the Internet.
Based on the Brian Burrough book, Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-34, the film focuses on a series of crimes committed in the 30s during the Great Depression.
Depp plays robber John Dillenger, whom no one can stop and no prison can keep. His charm and his daring escapes have won the favour of the American public, who has no sympathy for banks in the wake of the depression.
Marion Cotillard plays Depp’s sidekick, Billie Frechette, and Christian Bale has the role of FBI agent Melvin Purvis.
The cast also includes Giovanni Ribisi, Billy Crudup, Stephen Dorff, Rory Cochrane, Stephen Lang, David Wenham, Stephen Graham, Channing Tatum and Jason Clarke.
Public Enemies opens in theatres on July 1.
