Quebec City Aquarium lit up for winter

The third annual Festi Lumière lights up Quebec City.

The Aquarium du Québec will once again be all aglow for it’s annual Festi Lumière in the province’s capital. Now in its third consecutive year, the festival features a dazzling light show and family-oriented activities.

Outside of the Aquarium, more than 250,000 colourful bulbs cast a glow over trees, ice scupltures and animal-shaped structures. Children can play in the gingerbread house, decorate their own cookies, visit the enchanted tree, or race down the three illuminated slides.

Adults are invited to warm up at the ice bar with its outdoor fire. The kids will be amused by the Aquarium mascot and animal ambassador while young and old alike can enjoy festive tunes.

The show opens December 26 and runs from 6 pm to 9 pm every evening until January 9. From January 14 to March 5, it will be open on Friday and Saturday nights only. More information and ticket prices are available on theAquarium website.
