Queen Elizabeth has Prince George photo

Queen Elizabeth has a photo of baby Prince George on display in her living room at her summer retreat, Balmoral, in Scotland.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has a photo of Prince George on display at Balmoral.

The British monarch is clearly a prideful great-grandmother as a new picture of her living room at Balmoral shows that she has a framed snap of the newborn prince with his parents Duchess Catherine and Prince William close at hand.

The 87-year-old royal is currently enjoying her summer retreat at her Scottish estate and was recently visited by New Zealand prime minister John Key, who released a picture of himself and Queen Elizabeth sitting by a fireplace in the cluttered room.

The picture of the young family is the same snap released publicly by Clarence House as the first official portrait of William, 31, Catherine, 31, and their son.

The photo was taken by the duchess’ father Michael Middleton at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, two weeks after George’s birth.

The peek inside Balmoral offers a rare insight into Queen Elizabeth’s intimate surroundings.

As well as her framed picture of baby George, the monarch has several other pictures of family members and ancestors, china dogs, a stuffed corgi toy, and two dog beds for her pet corgis.

The color-clashing room features green tartan-print carpeting and floral armchairs.
