Quentin Tarantino Blown Away by Brad Pitt

Quentin Tarantino was totally impressed by Brad Pitt’s work.

According to Starpulse, the filmmaker was blown away by the actor’s insistence on staying in character, even during breaks, on the set of the film Inglourious Basterds.

In the violent war pic, Pitt played Aldo Raine, a Jewish-American soldier leading a troop with plans of revenge against the Nazis.  For his role, Pitt adopted a Tennessee accent, which he maintained even when cameras weren’t rolling.

Tarantino believes that the star’s insistence to remain in character was priceless to the feature film, allowing the director to truly see his character come to life.  The filmmaker explained, "For the most part when we were on set he would stay in character. It was like, ‘Why drop the accent when you don’t have to?’ And I have always liked it when actors do that. He’d get into Aldo’s mindset and stay there. He could be Brad and make a Brad joke but it was always in Aldo’s dialect. Aldo is more crude than Brad."
