R.E.M.- Eddie Vedder collaboration leaked online

New song from the band’s upcoming album already available on the web.

Last week on their website, American rock band R.E.M. released a digital download of Discoverer, the first official single from its upcoming album, but on Monday night (December 20) their collaboration with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Veddder was leaked online.
Although the collaboration from R.E.M’s upcoming Collapse Into Now album is not due to hit shelves until March, the single It Happened Today has already started appearing online as a digital track.

Earlier this year, R.E.M. released a video album, R.E.M. Live from Austin, TX, taken from their 2008 performance on the musical television show Austin City Limits.

The band has a history of working with Vedder, lead singer of rock band Pearl Jam. He also performed at their 2007 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The group formed in Georgia in 1980. After years of underground fame, they achieved commercial success in 1987 with their hit single The One I LoveCollapse Into Now will be R.E.M.’s fifteenth studio album, following 2008’s Accelerate.

You can listen to It Happened Today here.
