Rachel Bilson in Jumper

According to Variety magazine, Rachel Bilson will be playing opposite Hayden Christensen, in this sci-fi film.  Jumper will be produced by Regency Enterpises and 20th Century Fox.

The star of the television series The OC got a part that Teresa Palmer turned down.  The main character of the movie is about 25 years old.  Samuel L. Jackson and Jamie Bell will also be part of the cast.  The movie is being shot in Toronto.

This science-fiction movie is based on the book written by Steven Gould.  It is the story of a young man (Christensen), living in an abusive household.  He possesses the ability to teleport, which leads him to find out who murdered his mother. He manages to get the attention of the National Security Agency.

Jumper will likely be the first part of a trilogy, containing a lot of special effects.
