Rachel Weisz lays down with the lions

Actress cozies up to jungle cat for new perfume campaign.

Italian jeweler and luxury goods retailer Bulgari has unveiled the first image of actress Rachel Weisz (The Mummy, The Constant Gardener) posing for their upcoming Jasmin Noir ad campaign, reports Coco Perez.

The full campaign will start rolling out in magazines in August, but the beauty company has leaked a single preview shot to give fans an idea of what’s to come.

In the sultry image – photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott – Weisz curls up with a fully-grown lion, wearing nothing but a necklace, ring and bracelet. She hugs a strategically-placed oversized bottle of the perfume to her chest.

Only last month, the Academy Award-winning actress married Daniel Craig – James Bond, himself – in a private ceremony at a friend’s residence in New York. The newlyweds star together as husband and wife in an upcoming film, Dream House.

The new campaign isn’t Bulgari’s first go at mixing naked beauties with dangerous beasts. Actress Julianne Moore (Magnolia, The Hours) posed naked with two lion cubs for the house’s fall-winter 2010 handbag campaign.

Earlier this year, Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man, Marie Antoinette) also braved the fully-grown lion and posed nude in the ad campaign for Jasmin Noir‘s sister fragrance, Mon Jasmin Noir. While there were some doubts when Dunst’s print ads were initially released, the lion was shown to be very much alive and real in an accompanying commercial.
