The actress will star in the independent political drama, The Whistleblower.
Based on the true story of Kathryn Bolkovac, the film follows a peacekeeper’s mission after the war in Bosnia. She uncovers a United Nations cover-up of a sex-slavery scandal.
The film marks the directorial debut for Larysa Kondracki, who co-wrote the story with Ellis Kirwin. Filming will take place in Budapest.
Rachel Weisz has had a busy year starring in several movies, including The Brothers Bloom, to be released on May 29, The Lovely Bones on December 11, and Agora, opening on December 18.
