Rachelle Lefevre Is Surprised by Her Replacement

Rachelle Lefevre said that she is really sad to have learned that she’s been replaced in the third instalment of the Twilight film franchise.

Twilight fans were also shocked when an announcement was published yesterday (July 29) that Bryce Dallas Howard would be replacing Lefevre in the role of Victoria for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Summit Entertainment disclosed that the Montreal actress was not returning to Twilight due to scheduling conflicts.  She was to be filming Barney’s Version at the same time.

Lefevre herself was surprised to hear the news.  "I was stunned. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga," said the young star.

The actress, who plays the vampire Victoria, added that she’s turned down several other roles to keep her schedule free for Twilight.  "I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me," said Lefevre.

The actress also explained that she would only be working on the set of Barney’s Version for two weeks, and she never intended to abandon her Twilight role. "I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience."

Lefevre also took the opportunity to thank her fans for their support and added that she wishes the best to the Twilight team.
