Radiohead drummer to release debut solo EP

Philip Selway announces details of Running Blind, coming July 25.

Founding member and drummer for Radiohead, Philip Selway has released details of Running Blind, a four-track EP coming at the end of this month, reports Clash.com.

The four tracks to appear on the EP are taken from Selway’s first-ever solo album, Familial, set for release August 30. Familial was recorded at Radiohead’s Courtyard Studios with Ian Davenport and will feature guests Lisa Germano, bassist Sebastian Steinberg (Soul Coughing), Patrick Sansone, and Wilco drummer, Glenn Kotche.

In 2009, the English alt-rock drummer contributed to two tracks — Rest on the Rock and Out of Light — on the 7 Worlds Collide: The Sun Came Out benefit album organized by singer- songwriter Neil Finn.

Selway’s iconic band Radiohead have recently released their eighth studio album The King of Limbs. A special series of limited-edition remixes from the album launch today on Radiohead.com.
