Radiohead releases new surprise remixes

King of Limbs remix project continues with works from Four Tet, Lone and Pearson Sound.

Radiohead, known for their elusive and out-of-the-box marketing methods – or complete lack thereof – are streaming three brand new mixes from Four Tet, Lone and Pearson Sound, without any kind of forewarning at all, reports ClashMusic.

The new material is part of the band’s ongoing The King of Limbs remix project, where a string of guest producers have been invited to add their respective, unique touches to the band’s originals since their newest album’s release in February.

Manchester-based producer Lone remixed the track, Feral; Pearson Sound re-imagined Morning Mr. Magpie and post-rock/electronic solo artist Four Tet has reworked Separator.

Thom Yorke also worked with Four Tet earlier this year on a collaborative 12-inch with Burial.

It is rumored that these remixes – available from retailers on August 9 in North America – along with others released over the past several months, will be compiled onto one album slated for a physical release in 2011.
