Radiohead to perform in Japan on Friday?

Rumors that British alt rock band will give outdoor concert this week.

Since Monday’s (February 14) announcement that British alt rock band Radiohead will be releasing their new album, The King of Limbs, on Saturday, February 19, news media have been searching for additional details about the release.

Two rumors are currently circulating about the album and the group. The first is that the album contains eight songs, which suggests that some compositions may be longer and could include more instrumentals like Paranoid Android from OK Computer (1997).

The second rumor was started by Radiohead members themselves. On Twitter, they posted a message in Japanese, which translated to "Hachiko Square Shibuya, 59 minutes at 18 Friday.” The message appears to indicate that the group is inviting Japanese fans to an outdoor performance at one of the most famous and the busiest places in Tokyo.

The King of Limbs, the group’s eighth studio album since the launch of Radiohead’s Pablo Honey in 1993, can be purchased as a download for $9 in MP3 format and $14 for an uncompressed WAV format.
